Editorial policy

We publish guides to answer real questions from people caring for cats and dogs. Every page has a defined purpose. If two drafts answer the same question, we combine them before publication.

Sources and writing

We check practical claims against veterinary and animal welfare organisations and link the sources for each guide. We write original answers with understandable examples and steps. We do not describe product comparisons as hands-on testing unless we have actually tested those products.

Health and safety

A guide cannot diagnose an animal remotely. We identify signs that call for professional help. Guides about food, toxicity, illness or difficult behaviour must be reviewed by a qualified professional before we consider them definitive. We do not credit a professional review until it has happened and the reviewer can be identified.

Updates and advertising

We will review content when sources change or we receive a well-founded correction. Update dates will appear when substantial, verifiable changes are made. If we add advertisements or commercial links, they will be identified and will not determine our conclusions.
